Eric Yeaman is president and chief operating officer of First Hawaiian, Inc., as well as First Hawaiian Bank, the state’s largest bank. He was appointed in June 2015. From 2008-2015, he was chief executive officer of Hawaiian Telcom, the state’s leading communications provider. Prior to joining Hawaiian Telcom, Yeaman was the senior executive vice president and chief operating officer of Hawaiian Electric Company, Inc. (HECO), and financial vice president and chief financial officer of Hawaiian Electric Industries, HECO’s parent company. From 2000 to 2003, he was the chief operating and financial officer for Kamehameha Schools.
Yeaman serves on the publicly traded company boards of Alaska Air Group (NYSE: ALK) and Hawaiian Telcom (NASDAQ: HCOM) as well as the nonprofit boards of the Queen’s Health Systems (currently as Chairman of the Board), Harold K.L. Castle Foundation and Hawaii Community Foundation.
Yeaman earned a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and is a certified public accountant (not in public practice) in the State of Hawaii.
