Separation
On June 29, 2012, the Company completed its previously announced plan to separate its land and transportation businesses into two stand-alone, publicly traded companies:
- Alexander & Baldwin, Inc., (“New A&B”) a Hawai‘i-based company focused on owning and operating high-quality commercial real estate in Hawai‘i that trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “ALEX”; and
- Matson, Inc., a leading U.S. ocean transportation and domestic logistics company that trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “MATX.”
